If You See A Man With One Painted Fingernail, Here’s What It Means

When you see a man with one painted fingernail, it’s time to pay attention. That’s because he’s part of a new global campaign called #PolishedMan, aimed at raising awareness and funds to end violence against women and children. This innovative campaign has seen an outpouring of support from celebrities and everyday people alike, all eager to help make a difference in the world.

If you want to help out, too, simply paint your own nail and use the hashtag #PolishedMan on social media! Every little bit helps.

Celebrities like Aussies Chris Hemsworth and champion swimmer Michael Klim, as well as Hollywood star Zac Efron, have jumped on board, graciously showing off their painted nails in support of this important cause. The motto? “Nail it to end it.”

You can support this initiative and help put an end to violence against women and children! Paint your nails and share them with the hashtag to spread awareness and make a real difference in the world.

Let’s make sure that everyone is aware of this powerful message: End violence against women and children. To do your part, simply paint one nail and join the movement! Use the hashtag #PolishedMan on social media to show your support. Together we can make a difference. Let’s nail it to end it!

According to the YGAP website, a polished man is someone who shows support for women and children and does good work helping end violence in the world.

“YGAP’s Polished Man campaign encourages everyone to take a stand and actively commit to helping end violence against women and children by painting one nail for the month of October. The funds we raise support trauma prevention and recovery programs in Australia and around the world that aim to stop violence before it can occur, as well as help survivors on their road to recovery. Sign up today, paint a nail, start a conversation and raise funds to help end violence against women and children.”

As of December 2022, the Polished Man campaign has been running for eight years straight. As of the latest numbers, the YGAP’s Polished Man campaign has helped raise more than $7.6 million since its inception.

Their website boasts, “We have had over 100,000 people from more than 100 countries get behind this movement, funding both trauma prevention and trauma recovery services in Australia and around the world.”

The 2021 campaign report from YGAP reported that their organization is “so proud to stand as a beneficiary partner of Polished Man in the effort to end violence against children. Our contribution is the prevention of violence through working to ensure economic security and stability for people around the world. YGAP supports small impact businesses here in Australia and overseas that are reducing economic and social inequality around the world.”

Next time you see a man with one polished nail, you know he’s supporting a worthy cause.
