The light bouncing back and forth causes the reflections to appear infinitely nested into the distance.Some people on social media started having a debate about how many actual young women are really in the photograph.

The answer is fairly obvious when looking at the picture. There are two girls sitting beside each other between the mirrors. You can clearly match the facial features and poses of the two in the more distant reflections. This has not prevented some people from claiming the simple illusion shows dozens of different women or is the result of special effects.
