Suzanne Somers shared cryptic, 4-word post before her death aged 77 – and it’s so tragic

Suzanne Somers, popular TV actress from such shows as Three’s Company and The Six Million Dollar Man, has sadly passed away.

According to tragic reports, Somers died yesterday after a long battle with breast cancer, just one day shy of turning 77.

It was no secret that the actress had been sick for some time, having first been diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammography in 2000.

Despite her trials and tribulations, though, Somers remained upbeat and positive – indeed, she appeared to be excited for her future before her final Instagram posts shared hours before her passing.

As per the Daily Mirror, the Magnum Force star offered her 256,000 followers a free gift on Saturday night – she also posted on Friday evening to tell them they could have a “very lucky Friday night”.

Last week, meanwhile, Somers expressed her excitement over the fact that it was her birthday month.

“Good morning!!!” she wrote. “It’s October which means, it’s my birthday month!! So many exciting things happening.”

Needless to say, the actress’s loss is one keenly felt. Fans flocked to the comments sections of her social media pages to pay tribute – they knew she was fighting cancer, of course, but Somers’s death yet comes as a sudden shock.

Earlier this year in August, the then-76-year-old shared a candid update on Instagram, writing:

“… As you know, I had breast cancer two decades ago, and every now and then it pops up again, and I continue to bat it down. I have used the best alternative and conventional treatments to combat it.”

Somers’s death was confirmed yesterday by her publicist, R. Couri Hay, who told Page Six:

“Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years. Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.”

Hay also explained that her family would now gather today to celebrate her birthday, instead of the reunion they had planned before her passing.

“Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly. A private family burial will take place this week, with a memorial to follow next month.”

Rest in peace, Suzanne Somers!
