John Stamos’ show of support for longtime friend Dave Coulier made headlines around the world. But not everyone agrees with the “shallow gesture.” Check comments 👇

“Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier,” Stamos captioned the photos.

While the pictures received over half a million likes, thousands of people left comments with many questioning the appropriateness of the situation.

On Tuesday, Nov. 19, the comedic actor defended former Full House costar John Stamos on Instagram after backlash erupted the day prior over a series of photos the pair shared. The images featured Stamos, 61, wearing a bald cap to support Coulier, 65, amid his cancer journey, leading some people to call out the General Hospital alum for being insensitive since he could take the cap off and have his hair back.

“I’m sorry to see a bunch of negative comments as I’ve just begun my cancer journey,” Coulier’s post began. “It’s our friendship (me and John) and this is how we are handling a very tough time. I’m a comedian and humor is what drives me. John knows how to cheer me up and I laughed out loud when he arrived wearing a bald cap — being a true loving friend and brother.”
