Harry Responds After Popular Cartoon Ridicules His Wife’s Behavior

Comedy Central’s popular cartoon South Park did not depict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle very well in their famous episode entitled The Worldwide Privacy Tour. In the animated episode, the plot focuses on the “Prince and Princess of Canada,” who closely resemble Harry and Meghan. During the South Park show, the royal couple embarked on a publicity tour to promote a book, which was very much like something the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would do in real life.

Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have broken their silence on their unfavorable depiction in the South Park episode. Although the show mocked the young Royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made it very clear that they were not going to try to sue the show. However, their statement about the South Park episode did not address rumors about how Meghan Markle was left “upset and overwhelmed” by the satire.

In the wake of the airing of the episode, people close to the royal couple claimed that 41-year-old Markle was “upset” by their depiction in South Park. Another person close to the Royal couple claimed that the Sussexes were about to sic their team of lawyers on South Park as they were “casting an eye” toward the show’s criticism of the Duke and Duchess.

However, an official spokesperson for Harry and Meghan blasted the rumors about their disappointment. The person argued that the 38-year-old Prince and his 41-year-old wife were not going to file a lawsuit against South Park. In fact, the spokesperson claimed that the rumors were simply “boring and baseless,” according to a statement provided to Newsweek.

The official statement came a day after royal commentator Neil Sean told Fox News that the Sussexes were having their team of lawyers monitors South Park for future episodes that could discredit their reputation around the world.

“Their legal team is casting an eye over the episode to see what is wrong and what could be turned into something more sinister,” Sean said.

In the South Park episode, the Prince and Princess of Canada claim to want privacy while bemoaning how the world is not giving them enough attention. The episode followed the Prince of Canada as he went on a tour promoting his book Waaagh, which had a cover that resembled Prince Harry’s memoir Spare.

The South Park episode described the Meghan Markle-like character as someone who was a “sorority girl, actress, influencer, and victim.”

The same source that told The Spectator that Meghan was “upset and overwhelmed” by the South Park episode also said that Markle “is annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all.”

In the episode, the Prince and Princess try to appear more “normal,” so they move to the small town of South Park, Colorado.

“If we moved here, people would think we’re really serious about wanting to be normal,” the couple insists on the comedy show.
