Olivia Newton-John’s daughter gives startling health update one year after mom’s death

Chloe Lattanzi, the only daughter of the iconic Olivia Newton-John, has opened up on her own health struggles after the one-year anniversary of her mother’s passing.

Newton-John died on August 8, 2022 following an on-and-off battle with breast cancer that lasted three decades.

Now the actress and singer’s daughter Chloe, 37, has admitted to facing her own issues, explaining that she has “not been okay” since losing her mom.

Posting an emotional video update to her Instagram page, Chloe said:

“Since my mom’s passing and the year and a half with her going through cancer, I have not been okay.

“If I have forgotten to return your calls. I’ve had extreme memory loss. I’ve had difficulty getting out of bed. I’ve stuck to my commitments, but I have been neglecting myself.

“One of my mom’s biggest messages was, ‘Take care of you: If you don’t take care of you, you cannot give your full capacity of love, wisdom, kindness and power to everyone else.’”

On October 8, the annual Olivia’s Walk for Wellness will take place at Alexandra Gardens, Melbourne.

Chloe told her followers that she would be there for the event but plans to take a hiatus afterwards in order to aid her recovery.

“After the walk I’m going to disappear for about three weeks, just to honor my mind, body and spirit because I’m developing a little bit of health issues in my mind and my body,” she said.

“I just wanted to say to anyone who I have been inconsistent with, I’m so sorry. I haven’t been consistent with myself and I haven’t been taking care of myself. So in the spirit of my mother and the spirit of the Wellness Walk, I’m gonna take a month to do that so I can be of complete service to everyone else.”

Earlier this year, Chloe spoke candidly on her famous mother’s passing, revealing the final promise she made before Olivia’s death.

“That was my promise to my mom that I would soar, and fly, and be happy,” Chloe divulged.

In a tear-jerking tribute paid at a state-memorial service held in February, meanwhile, the 37-year-old said:

“My heart is broken in two. The other half is with my mama. I know she’s holding it for me until we meet again.

“She was my safe space, my guide, my biggest fan, and the earth beneath my feet. I know she’s here, standing beside me and within me. I can hear her voice ‘You’re safe my darling, don’t be afraid, you’re so much stronger than you think. Speak from your heart, that’s all you have to do.’”

I think we all miss Olivia Newton-John. What a tremendous talent and inspiring figure.
