Former Young TV Actor Remembered Following Passing at 33

A former child actor widely recognized for his role in the 2006 family film How to Eat Fried Worms has passed away at the age of 33. He died on February 8 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His mother confirmed the news, explaining that the family is waiting for official autopsy results to clarify the cause of death. The unexpected loss has saddened fans and those who followed his early career.

Born in Austin, Texas, he developed a love for performing at a young age and appeared in local stage productions, including Aladdin, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, and Grease. At just 10 years old, he joined a national tour of Barney’s Colorful World, an experience that helped launch his path into film and television work.

His breakout role came with How to Eat Fried Worms, where he portrayed the character Plug in a film that earned recognition from young audiences and industry award groups. In later years, he settled in Oklahoma and worked toward personal growth, including maintaining sobriety — an accomplishment his family said meant a great deal to him.

According to his mother, he had recently sought medical care for intense pain and was diagnosed with shingles, with possible complications still under review.
