Home Depot Worker Says She Is “Too Pretty” To Work, But Not Everyone Agrees

A hard-working Home Depot employee has divided the internet after she posted a selfie to social media during her shift working at the hardware store. The employee, Ariana Josephine, proclaimed herself to be too pretty to work at the store as she posted a photo of herself done up with tons of makeup in a pair of glasses with her hair pulled back.

It appears that Ariana was working the paint counter because she was wearing the trademark orange apron that Home Depot employees wear when they’re mixing paint colors for customers. She also apparently works at one of the chain locations of The Home Depot in Texas, where she also lives.

In her social media post, Ariana said that her job at Home Depot is “the only job I work at [where] I get reminded I’m [too] pretty to work at” every time she shows up to work one of her shifts at the chain hardware store.

Ariana’s post quickly went so viral that Home Depot was trending online for several days. Her post had been viewed a staggering thirty-five million times by Tuesday and had received more than one hundred thousand likes as well as an additional seven thousand bookmarks.

Many comments on the post applauded Ariana for continuing to work while being so pretty and working her way through a college degree at the same time. These people said that the young woman was doing her duty by putting on her orange apron to make sure customers got the paint colors they wanted for their home projects and work projects.

“I wouldn’t go to Lowe’s no more,” one man wrote.

“Any girl with this mindset is serious,” another person wrote on social media in the comments.

However, not everyone was very supportive of Ariana’s social media posts. Some people blasted her for proclaiming herself too pretty to hold down a job at a place like Home Depot.

“Bro, these young ladies need prayer,” wrote one user. “They seek the attention of others too much. They need to be validated every five minutes. Her profile reads, ‘Followers of Christ.’ Yet, her profile photo suggests that she is seeking admiration from men who probably do not follow Christ.”

After she got so much attention for working at Home Depot, some social media users took things a few steps too far and shared her work location with the world online. She blasted those people for exposing her like that.

“Y’all turned something innocent into something crazy and ruined my way of making money by seriously taking the internet TOO far. Thanks for all the nice people I’ve spoken to and inspired, and thanks to the hate because it’s helped me grow closer to God and be more tough-skinned.”

On Twitter, she cleared a few things up, “I don’t think I am too pretty to work anywhere. I work at Home Depot because it’s a decent job that pays [well] while I’m in school. Please stop taking social media to heart. God bless.”
