In a shocking revelation, Hoda Kotb got Jenna Bush Hager to confess to something that only her husband should know. Jenna admitted during a segment of Today with Hoda and Jenna that she never wears underwear. The daughter of the former president does not like to wear panties even while she is working for the Today show, and so she got thrown under the bus by Hoda, who wanted to haze her younger colleague during an on-air broadcast of their program.

During the Wednesday show, Hoda started talking about how “Jenna always looks put together,” whether she is going to broadcast a show that day or just stay home and lounge around with her family.

Jenna immediately interrupted the Today show veteran, saying: “I know where she’s going with it.”

“I just had a little shock this morning,” Hoda continued.

Jenna became visibly embarrassed during the broadcast and even tapped Hoda’s arm to get her to stop talking. But her interruption did not faze the veteran presenter.

“You promised me you wouldn’t do this!” whined Jenna. “There’s a lot of people here.”

Hoda burst into laughter as she clutched her chest to calm herself down so she could reveal the shocking news about Jenna Bush Hager. After realizing that there was no stopping the veteran presenter from revealing Jenna’s personal secret, she relented and said, “Go ahead. It’s too late.”

“I was a little surprised. Because Jenna and I know a lot about each other. Anyway, we both had to change before the show. And we were like, ‘oh, we gotta go back into the changing room.’”

“Well, first, my dress zipper popped open,” Jenna interjected.

“Right,” Hoda confirmed before adding. “Then I noticed….”

Hoda paused her for dramatic effect. She did not become a veteran presenter on the Today show for nothing! Eventually, she allowed the pause to linger, and then she said what was on her mind.

“Jenna never wears underwear,” Hoda said, throwing the younger presenter under the bus in front of millions of viewers.

Jenna tried to recover by explaining her reason for never wearing underwear while taping the Today show.

“I think it makes a more pretty silhouette,” said Jenna.

After Hoda exposed Jenna Bush Hager live on the air for not wearing underwear, she pressed the younger woman to explain if it was even sanitary. Hoda wanted to know if Jenna had to do more loads of laundry since she did not wear underwear underneath her outfits.

“She said, ‘Do you wash your clothes?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I do,’” said Jenna. “But it’s also not like I’m sharing my jeans with you. Although, I do steal Savannah’s pants on occasion. And I do want to borrow that red suit of yours. Can I? But I’ll wear underwear.”

Later, in a conversation with US Weekly, Hoda said she thinks it is “gross” for women not to wear underwear.

“First of all, I take the panty lines, OK?” said Hoda. “I know that’s what she’s worried about. What the hell?”

Savannah Guthrie also took issue with Jenna’s habit of going commando.

“You know what? Enough [because] she also borrows my clothes every single day, and then she puts them right back,” Guthrie told US Weekly. “Yeah, no underwear. I found that out too late!”
