Woman Is Shocked To Find Out Her Tattoos Have “Limited” Her Employment Options

An Australian model with lots of tattoos has opened up about how hard it is for her to find traditional work in the modeling industry. The young female model, Amber Luke, claims that she has tattooed about ninety-nine percent of her body, including painful tattoo work like her eyeballs. She claims that she has spent well over $25,000 on body modification work to achieve the look she has always wanted.

Because she has tattooed almost every inch of her skin, Amber Luke has earned her nickname “Dragon Girl.” However, she recently opened up that her numerous tattoos have been a deterrent in her career. She claims that being a tattooed model has made it hard for her to find work in the industry, which is known for being very particular with the types of models they employ to show off clothing and other goods.

Amber “Dragon Girl” Luke recently appeared on the Brisbane, Australia radio show called “Robin, Terry, and Kip.” During her appearance on the broadcast, the tattoo model confessed that being Dragon Girl has not been as good for her bank account as she thought it would have been.

“I’m not going to sugarcoat it,” Luke said. “(My tattoos) have limited my (employment) options.”

Although all of her tattoos make it harder for Luke to find employment as a model, she claims that she does not regret inking most of her body.

“The way I see it is I don’t want to work for a company that’s shallow-minded (and can’t) look past my image. They won’t look at my work ethic. They won’t look at my morals or my values or what I have to bring to the table.”

She also said during her appearance on the radio show that “everyone has their own opinions of what beauty is” and isn’t. And if people don’t find her beautiful, then they can go bother themselves elsewhere.

“You see these cultures (where people) stretch their necks, their ears, their lips. But at the end of the day, we all are entitled to our opinion, and that’s okay. But, what gets to me is when someone expresses their opinion to me in public and comes up to me and says, ‘Oh, you’re ugly’ or ‘you’ve ruined yourself.’”

The model does not care to hear those comments from strangers she meets in person.

“It’s very distressing to know that people have that strong opinion, and they can just voice it without any repercussions.”

Luke has done a lot of work to get her body tattooed. One of the most difficult body modification procedures that she endured was getting her eyeballs tattooed blue like a dragon. For some time, the tattoo left her blind and crying blue tears.

In honor of that experience, she got a new tattoo! She had an image of a woman crying blue tears tattooed on her chest.
