Liam Neeson Slams His “Uncomfortable” Interview On The View

After Liam Neeson finished his segment on ABC’s The View on February 15, 2023, he was not pleased with how things unfolded on the talk show program. At first, Neeson thought he was going to get to talk about something significant like gun violence in the United States of America, but when he walked out on stage, he got the surprise of his career when the conversation shifted to something personal between Liam Neeson and Joy Behar, 80.

“I was in the dressing room drinking a cup of tea, turned the TV up, and I thought, oh, this will be great. They’re talking about gun violence in America, and I agree that it’s an American problem,” he told Rolling Stone in an interview. “I go onstage and join the ladies during the break, and I was congratulating them on this discussion.”

Neeson had known Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar prior to setting foot on the stage of The View in ABC’s studio set. He thought they were going to make it easy for him and lob him some softballs that he would be able to hit out of the park into the crowd. Instead, he was ramrodded with “all this BS” about a crush between Joy Behar and Liam Neeson.

“And then our segment starts, and it’s just all this BS with Joy [Behar] and Liam Neeson and having a crush, and I’ve known Whoopi for years and Joy a little bit, but I just wasn’t impressed. I’m uncomfortable in those situations, you know?”

Despite how this ruined his appearance on the show for him, Neeson did claim he “had a little chat afterward” with former prosecutor Sunny Hostin, which Neesom claimed was a very “intelligent conversation,” unlike the jibber jabber he was put through with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg.

“But then the segment’s all about this — oof —thirteen, fourteen-year-old crush. It’s just a bit embarrassing,” he added.

At one point during Neesom’s segment, Joy Behar described how the co-hosts of The View talk about the UK actor all the time. Conservative co-host Ana Navarro quipped to correct Behar that “you talk about him so much.”

“Oh, shut up, don’t blow my cover up,” Behar said.

Alyssa Farah Griffin then made the age-old joke that Behar wanted to be “taken” by the actor Liam Neeson just like in his movies.

Later in the same show, Behar made a joke about how she got a belated Valentine’s Day card from Liam Neeson, But in reality, he gave a card to every one of the hosts.

Hostin added that “he wrote something very special on mine,” which was a joke at Behar’s expense since his message on her card had apparently been more generic.

When Neeson reappeared for his second segment in the talk show, Behar recited Neeson’s famous movie line, ‘I will find you, and I will kill you.”

Neeson laughed, “Oh Joy, stop it. Get a life!”
