Denzel Washington Refuses To Work for Disney’s “Woke Cinematic Universe”

In a recent interview, Denzel Washington said that he declined a significant role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that would have paid him over $30 million because he did not want to be a part of what he considered to be a “woke” plot. Washington claimed that he was offered the part of a significant character whose covert homosexuality would have been discovered; but, the idea did not appeal to him.

Washington did not specify which persona he was offered, but Marvel experts have narrowed it down to Thanos or Groot even though they have said that none of those characters were the one he received.

It is impossible to identify which superhero it may have been because Marvel has a huge roster of them. Even the prospect of Agent Carter and Black Widow having a love relationship has been conjectured by some fans. Washington has made it obvious that he is not interested in taking part in narratives that he views as being “woke.” He feels that his skills are better suited for movies with an award-winning potential, like his acclaimed performance in “Remember the Titans,” where he received critical acclaim.

Washington currently refuses to accept 11 prizes from the Black Oscars and proudly displays three conventional Oscars on top of his refrigerator.
